2011 YZ450F

Liquid cooled 4 stroke DOHC single rearward slanting cylinder with 4 valve head.

Fuel injected with option of YZ power tuner to adjust fuel injection timing and ignition timing. Fuel injection gives better control over fuel/air mixtures in response to altitude and temperature changes.
7.5 degrees rearward slanting cylinder with intake at front and exhaust at rear, this offers a straight intake tract for improved intake efficiency, the air box is situated were the tank usually is and this gives cooler and cleaner air due to less engine heat and dust from wheels.
With the fuel tank now under the seat this also centralises weight mass and helps bike corner with less effort.
New Hydro-formed frame and swing arm, frame made up of 16 separate parts welded into one single unit.
Hydro-forming is alloy filled with liquid and high pressure applied to shape, allows smooth shaping, high precision forms, and preserves metallurgic integrity of alloy.

Front forks have a 10mm longer stroke (300mm to 310mm) and are tuned for high traction with adjustable dampening.
Rear suspension offers smooth dampening to prevent rear from kicking up, and has a 4mm bigger cylinder from 46-50mm
The rear suspension and swing arm mounting points have been moved forward towards the centre of the chassis to help centralise mass and also contributes to stable handling.

Magnesium rocker and clutch covers are lightweight and heat resistant
