Bayride Motorcycles is the Bay of Plenty’s Aprilia, Triumph, and Yamaha dealer.

We seek an excellent Technician at Bayride Motorcycles. We know mechanics are hard to come by and we look after our team like family, we want to make a difference, work hard and still have a laugh.

Are you someone who would revel in the diagnostics and servicing of our brands : Triumph, Aprilia and Yamaha motorcycles, mainly Road but also MX,  ATV and farm? We are preparing the latest motorcycles and Waverunners for sale, reconditioning good quality trade-ins, maintaining our broad base of customer owned motorcycles and waveruner as well as helping motorcyclists in general keep their pride and joy in tip top shape.

Our workshop is WOF certified and we pride ourselves on good quality motorcycle WOF. Our current WOF technician is leaving us for personal goals and we will be training someone new to take on this pivotal role. 

Our workshop is less than 2 years old and we have invested in the latest TEXA Tool (SEPT 2024) with wireless tablet.

This is a full-time position
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
9am-1pm Saturday on a rostered basis.
Pay range $35-$42 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:
 

Minimum four years relevant experience.

Level 4 or equivalent relevant education certification
 

Solid mechanical grounding, quick and keen to learn.
 

The ability to work in a team, for the team and with the team.
 

Work to exacting standards and high expectations.
 

Have detail and accuracy on the job and follow through (paperwork).
 

Good written and verbal English.
 

Great diagnostic skills with the ability to find faults and advise the required remedy.
 

Enjoy working on a wide variety of machines including mx and farm.
 

WOF Certification and PDI authority will be given the highest suitability score.
 

A passion for all things motorcycles.
