SERVICE MANAGER - JUNE 2026

As a key member of our leadership, you will be responsible for our servicing team, diagnosing, and repairing the best range of Motorcycles, JetSki, Scooters, Side By Sides, and Quads. Supporting this team you are responsible for our front desk ensuring customer care from booking to bike delivery back to our loyal customers.

At Bayride we invest in the latest tech, including the new TEXA Tool and mobile pad, the Aprilia PADS tool, and the Yamaha Diagnostic Interface and Triumph TOL interface. Each technician has a designated workspace with clean bench and hydraulic lifter. The workshop has two tyre machines and a mobile heavy lifting gantry.

We run Orion for our DMS and investing in the latest updates and keen to explore A.I advantages.

Key Responsibilities: The Service Customer is the focus of your attention. Schedule the workshop ensuring quality or workmanship and a smooth workflow. Overall responsibility for safety checks on Motorcycles, Scooters, side-by-sides, quads, and YamahaWaverunner . Assist the team with diagnosing faults, and be able to step in and carry out repairs using specialised tools, diagnostic equipment, and the assembly of new vehicles. Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure accurate records of work completed and parts used. This role requires team leadership and dedication to involve the team in continually focusing on positive customer outcomes and process improvements, while maintaining a profitable service division

High Level Key Competencies : Valve Clearance Service / Fork Rebuild / Engine Rebuild / Tyre Change / Jetski Repairs / WOF - desirable / Electrical Repairs / Brake Repairs

Candidate Requirements:
• Able to demonstrate service team leadership
• Experience with service booking systems and Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A very strong command of English is required, both verbally and written.
• Relevant qualification in Motorcycle Mechanics or automotive engineering.
• Proven experience as a motorcycle technician or in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full motorcycle license is essential.
• WOF inspection authority desirable but not essential.

Bayride Motorcycles is located in a purpose built facility in Tauriko. We have been in business for more than 20 years and relocated to 11 Matakokiri Drive in 2023. Bayride uniquely runs its own Motorcycle Training School. We are an MTA member and guide ourselves by the ethics required to be MTA accredited. Our team has a variety of characters and individuals and not by design is pretty much 50-50 male and female.

The brands, you might ask! We specialise in Yamaha, Triumph and Aprilia. We service off-brand too and as well as motorcycle we service Yamaha Waverunner.

Our staff like to buy stuff, so we make it easy. Discuss that with us.

Bayride really supports extra learning and upskilling. If specialist training is required or dedicated upskilling is paid for by us, we ask for a bonded time back.
