A RECORD-BREAKING MUGELLO FOR APRILIA RACING
BEZZECCHI TAKES VICTORY, MARTÍN COMPLETES THE ONE-TWO, AND APRILIA CELEBRATES A HISTORIC WEEKEND ON HOME SOIL.
Aprilia Racing enjoyed a memorable weekend at the Mugello Circuit, closing the Italian Grand Prix with an extraordinary one-two finish on home soil: Marco Bezzecchi took victory ahead of teammate Jorge Martín, who finished second after running at the front throughout.
The result followed a perfect qualifying session, with Bezzecchi taking pole position and setting a new lap record of 1:43.921. For the first time in the history of the Motorcycle World Championship, three Aprilias occupied the top three positions on the starting grid, confirming the competitiveness of the RS-GP on the Tuscan track.
In the Grand Prix race, Bezzecchi delivered a solid and decisive performance: starting from pole, he managed the opening stages intelligently before making the decisive overtake on lap 14 to claim his first victory at Mugello. Behind him, Martín completed Aprilia Racing’s triumph with a highly consistent race, following the second place he had already secured in Saturday’s sprint.

The victory marks Aprilia Racing’s first success at Mugello and the brand’s thirteenth win in MotoGP, as well as its seventh of the season: a new record for Aprilia Racing in a single top-class campaign. With this result, the Noale-based manufacturer also reaches 307 overall victories in the Motorcycle World Championship.
Adding even greater significance to the result were Raúl Fernández’s victory for the Trackhouse MotoGP Team in Saturday’s sprint and the top-ten finishes of Ai Ogura and Fernández himself in the Grand Prix race. Also worth noting is the all-time MotoGP speed record of 368.6 km/h, set by Jorge Martín in FP2 and matched by Marco Bezzecchi in the sprint.
A weekend to remember for Aprilia Racing, which at Mugello wrote one of the most important pages in its MotoGP history.

MARCO BEZZECCHI
“The win in Mugello was fantastic – a dream that I’ve had since childhood. I used to always come here with my father, my mother, and my sisters to see MotoGP, and I dreamed of being there someday. Over time, that dream became a desire to win right here. Winning in Mugello was an indescribable emotion, as well as seeing all the fans and the team happy and emotional.”

JORGE MARTÍN
“I’m extremely happy for Aprilia and for Marco as well. Seeing all the fans below the podium was truly spectacular. I had a few difficulties in the race, but I still gave one hundred percent. The bike is working, the team is working extremely well, and the work method is the right one. It is a combination of all these factors which is allowing us to achieve such significant results.”

MASSIMO RIVOLA
“This is a weekend that we’ll remember for a long time. In our first GP partnered with Monster, Aprilia practically broke every record possible, thanks to our extraordinary riders, thanks to an extremely talented satellite team, thanks to a one-of-a-kind factory, and to a group filled with Italian pride. Setting all the records on a track like Mugello has a unique flavour. Both Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi will go down in Aprilia history for the record speed of 368.6 km/h. Both Marco’s pole position and race were particularly emotional, also thanks to the helmet dedicated to Alex Zanardi, an example of life and determination for everyone.”
