| Whether you’re completely new to motorcycles, stepping up from a scooter, or returning to riding after some time away, our Learn to Ride course is designed to develop your riding skills, improve your confidence, and help you become a safer, more capable rider. | The first stage of obtaining your motorcycle learner licence (6L) is to successfully complete the Basic Handling Skills Test (BHST), followed by passing the learner licence theory test. Once you have completed both, you can begin riding on the road. | Ready to move beyond your “L” plates? The Restricted Licence (CBTA 6R) is an on-road assessment designed to take you to the next stage of your motorcycle licence. You must be at least 16½ years old to apply. | The final step in your motorcycle licensing journey? The Full Licence (CBTA 6F) involves a short on-road assessment. Once successfully completed, you can ride without licence restrictions, carry a passenger, and ride motorcycles of any engine size. |
