POLE POSITION AND SPRINT WIN FOR MARCO BEZZECCHI, JORGE MARTÍN
EIGHTH

Misano, 13 September 2025 - The sprint at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli
concluded with an outstanding result for Aprilia Racing. Marco Bezzecchi was
Saturday’s star. He secured pole position at his home track, his second of the season
after Austria, and then dominated, finishing with an excellent victory. The Italian rider
earned his first sprint win with Aprilia Racing and his eighth podium of the season,
which also includes victory at Silverstone. This result also marks the best ever placing
for the Noale manufacturer in a sprint at Misano.

Starting from eleventh on the grid, Jorge Martín delivered a solid performance, fighting
back convincingly to finish the sprint in eighth place.

The other positive note of Saturday was the result of Raúl Fernández, from the
Trackhouse MotoGP Team, who finished the sprint in ninth place and therefore in the
points.

MARCO BEZZECCHI

It was a very positive day – great to start from pole position and be so competitive in
the sprint, fighting for the win. The race went well – I'm delighted – although there was
a moment when, unfortunately, I made two small mistakes in a row and lost a bit of
concentration. Sunday will be an important race, so feet on the ground, we’ll keep
working and stay focused”.

JORGE MARTÍN

“The goal was to finish the sprint, get a good start, and then try to pull off some nice
overtakes, and I achieved all three objectives. I gathered some valuable data for
Sunday’s race. I have a clear idea of where we need to improve and what adjustments
will help me ride more smoothly and naturally. Congratulations to Marco – he’s doing
a great job and this is the direction to follow”.

FABIANO STERLACCHINI

It was a very positive day. We worked really well with Marco this morning in race trim,
even with different tyres, and then managed to take pole position, which is always
crucial, especially on tracks like this where overtaking is difficult. We also made it count
with a great race. There were a few minor issues, but in the end, we got the job done.
With Jorge, we weren’t able to take full advantage of direct access to Q2, which ended
up compromising the race, also due to overheating on the front tyre. However, we are
gaining more experience and information with him as we continue our journey”.
