A new remote has to be memorised into your security system for it to operate - this is called 'code learning'. The coding instructions can also be found in your owners manual (which you can download from our website if yours is misplaced) or is detailed below. 433.8MHz
To learn new remotes to M8 & M824 models:
Turn the ignition key to the ON position
Press and release the valet/programming switch 3 times (Siren Chirps)
Press the Lock Button of each transmitter you want programmed until you hear a chirp from the siren.
Press and release the valet/programming switch 1 time to advance to channel 2 UNLOCK. Press the unlock button of each transmitter you want to unlock the vehicle.
Press and release the valet/programming switch 1 time to advance to channel 3 BOOT. Press the boot button of each transmitter you want to operate the boot release of the vehicle.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position
